Marsh's return to duty comes as a big relief to cadets and officers alike. He has been missing in action since September 11th, 2001, when he was deployed to Afghanistan as an infantry officer with 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment. After leaving Afghanistan he served at Fort Hood in Texas before transferring to Fort Benning, Georgia for two years as an officer instructor at the Army War College before returning to teach at USMA for the past two summers. Marsh's experience and knowledge will be invaluable in running the Brigade Tactical Officer program and ensuring that cadets are properly trained for their future roles in the U.S. Military.
